- 6 sandwich bread slices
- 2 eggs
- 200 ml milk
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 20 g butter
- Sugar

- Step 1 Mix
Whisk eggs with milk, a pinch of cinnamon and sugar in a wide shallow bowl until smooth. A low dish makes it easier to soak the bread evenly.
- Step 2 Cut
Dip each bread slice 10-15 seconds per side; it should absorb the custard without falling apart. Let excess drip off against the rim of the bowl.
- Step 3 Pan 2 min
Melt butter in a wide pan over medium heat. Fry the slices 2-3 minutes per side until golden outside and soft inside. Serve warm with icing sugar or honey.
